Dr. Jami Rose
Dr. Rose is a NC native who grew up in Pilot, NC just a few minutes outside Zebulon. She attended NCSU for both her Undergraduate and Doctorate degrees. After several years practicing at a nationally known practice on the Carolina coast, she and her husband returned to Zebulon. She’s excited to be working in her hometown community at Zebulon Animal Hospital. Dr. Rose’s special interests include Internal Medicine, Geriatric Care, and Dentistry.
Tisha, Practice Manager
Tisha was born in Alexandria, Virginia and has lived in various parts of the Continental US and Europe due to her parent’s military background. She has always had an interest in animals and went to North Carolina State University for her Bachelors in Animal Science. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2000, and has been at Zebulon Animal Hospital since 2004. Her special interests include preventive care, parasitology, and client education.
Tisha’s hobbies are eclectic, and include playing brass music (primarily trombone), working with Habitat for Humanity, bowling, playing darts (currently in the Raleigh Dart League), video games, gourmet cooking, and traveling… to name a few.
Heather, Veterinary Assistant
Heather grew up in Nash County very close to Zebulon Animal Hospital. As a lifelong animal lover, Heather always had a desire to care for animals. At 5 years old, Heather promised her mother that she would become a veterinarian so her pet iguana could be taken to the veterinarian, Fast forward 13 years and plans for Heather had changed. Heather enlisted in the U.S. Army to fulfill another life long passion. After serving four years at Fort Carson in Colorado and a deployment to Kuwait, Heather returned home and pursued her interest in veterinary medicine. Heather began working at an animal hospital in 2016, and was ecstatic to join the Zebulon Animal Hospital team in 2019. She loves that she is able to work in the community that she has always called home.
Heather currently has two fur babies, Journey, a German Shepherd mix, and Max a Golden Retriever mix. Both dogs were found as strays. In her free time, Heather enjoys home improvement projects, crafts, and of course spending time with her furry kids!
Ashley, Veterinary Assistant
Ashley is originally from New Jersey and moved to North Carolina in 2014. She has two children, two dogs, and two cats. Ashley has been in the veterinary industry since 2008 and joined the team at Zebulon Animal Hospital in 2016. Her medical interests are in microbiology, dental cleanings, and surgical procedures. Ashley has known her entire life that she wanted to work in the veterinary industry.
Ashley’s hobbies include spending time with her children and creating customized realistic paintings of both pets and portrait/landscape images. Ashley is also the comic relief in our hospital and can always put a smile on someone’s face!
Billie Jo, Veterinary Assistant
Billie Jo has been in the veterinary industry since 1994, and joined the Zebulon Animal Hospital team in 2019. She has three French Bulldogs named Frances, Lena, and Josie and a Border Terrier named Roscoe.
Billie Jo loves helping people in need. She loves spending time with her family, husband, church family, and coworkers. Billie Jo’s hobbies include her community and international missions work.
Kimmie is a North Carolina native. She grew up in Nash County and currently resides in Wake County. She has ben with the Vets Pets family for years, transferring from Rolesville Veterinary Hospital to Zebulon Animal Hospital.
She loves her job as Receptionist and enjoys interacting with clients and their four legged loved ones. All the puppy love makes her day!
When Kimmie is not at work she likes to spend time with her family, keeping busy with all of her nieces activities. Kimmie is a student, and when not studying she is painting. She has a cat named Sunny who is completely spoiled rotten by her nieces. She also has four Fish babies named Mr. Clean, French Fry, Romeo, and Velvet. And yes, they too are equally just as spoiled!
Michelle is a native New Yorker who was partially raised on a dairy farm in upstate New York. This is where her love for animals began. After finishing her Bachelor of Arts, Michelle decided to go to school to become an Animal Health Technician. Michelle became a registered technician by the state of New York, and while training at The Animal Center, she was offered a position. Michelle moved south in 1988 working as a technician until joining the Zebulon Animal Hospital team in 2017 as a receptionist.
Michelle has two adult children and two grandchildren. She has three fur babies, a dog and two cats that are rescues. In her free time, Michelle is very involved with her church. Michelle also enjoys cooking, interior design, and gardening.
